When will these be available? I have a fresh Winston VIP form that I plan on using to replace my 6wt BIIX with a BIIIX, and need to plan a sales date. Can't be missing a six going into the fall. When are the Sterners bringing rods to cast?

And for forum users I will post my BIIX 6 wt for sale here, via KRO, however Bob wants to do that and with his permission. Should let someone snag a used BIIX 6wt for a good price. It is beat pretty hard, so I won't be asking too much.

what is "beat pretty hard"?

PS - I will be selling my 590-4 as well (w/Waterworks ULA)... I iwll keep my 490-4 and 690-4..

They should be available late fall or first of the year...

Well, it is beat pretty hard man. Their are prevalent scratches in the finish, all of the guide feet on the first third of the rod are loose, the reel seat is scratched. Some of the wraps are actually fraying were the ferrules connect because the epoxy has worn thin.

It clicks when you cast it... due to the loose guides. The cork is in great shap, but I custom-sand thumb holes into all my cork Wulff style. The carbon fiber spacer is in good shape. But it still fishes and casts well. It is just being retired from its heavy grain days, and should be used for normal sink tips rated for 6 weights for whoever wants it.

From this experience, I've learned that I need a 7wt with me any time I want to fish deep because my streamers are so damn big. I don't need anything expensive, and I am going to try a Ross FW in a 7 to see if it has the stones I need for big grain (250-300) and weighted 4" streamers.
