Unlike Fly Rods where the market is reasonable small (under a dozen major players) and the leaders well defined (most of the leaders have been in business for well over 10 years), the world of Fly Reels is a little bit (and sometimes a whole lot) more of an open market.

With new players (many are under 10 years old), new designs (Large Arbor, etc.), new materials (Polymer's, etc.), new technologies (Machining, Anodization, etc.) and a new "Mind Set" (a reel is NOT just a place to store line!), the game has changed radically!

As such, a shop must do their homework to identify the options, evaluate the products available, contact the respective Manufacturers Reps, meet the vendor requirements, and stock the shelves (or in our case, our revolving tower)!
