The heart and soul of any "Destination" fly shop, the selection of flies offered tells a lot about the owners and/or management of the business! A weak selection or poor quality indicates that fly fishing is a "business" as opposed to a "passion". Conversely, a broad selection of quality flies shows customers that the folks in charge really know their business and care about their customers. As such, we at Kennebec River Outfitters have worked hard to establish a generous selection of top quality flies ranging from traditional New England patterns to Western patterns not normally found in central/northern Maine. To accomplish this, we have gone to five large commercial sources, several private tyers, and when all else fails, the shop staff for our flies!
