Area Fishing

Route 201 parallels the Kennebec River for much of its length and serves as one of the primary routes for anglers heading north. With our shop located on Route 201 in Madison we are in the midst of, or on the way to, what we feel is the finest fishing in New England!

With productive stretches of the Kennebec River in Skowhegan and Madison just a few short miles from our door and Shawmut Dam, Carratunk Falls and Wyman Dam all less than a half hour from the shop, how can you go wrong?

"Shawmut Dam" in Fairfield (9 Miles)
"The Great Eddy" in Skowhegan (4 Miles)
"The Pines" in Madison (7 Miles)
"Carratunk Falls" in Solon (12 Miles)
"Wyman Dam" in Bingham (20 Miles)
"The Gorge" in The Forks (40 Miles)

In addition to our convenient access to the Kennebec River, waters such as Pierce Pond, the Upper Dead River, Rangeley, The Forks, Moxie Pond, and Moosehead Lake are all within an hours drive of the shop making us a great "Jumping Off" point for one heck of a fishing trip!
